Autobiography
"Broker Bill" Vivian, hails from sunny Miami, Florida. His grandparents emigrated from Britain (Father's side) and the Ural Mountains in Russia (Mother's side) in the late 1800's. Bill attended Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, and worked as a paramedic for an established ambulance company, Randle-Eastern Ambulance. In 1974 he attended Florida State University, home of the Seminoles, and obtained a B.S. in Biology. While in college, Mr. Vivian moonlighted as a sales associate for McDonalds Corporation, and also as a paramedic for Tallahassee Regional Medical Center. He was also a member of the Epsilon Zeta chapter of Sigma Chi Fraternity.
In 1979, Bill relocated to Houston, Texas, to attend the prestigious "Texas Heart Institute's Perfusion Technology Program" under the direction of world renowned Cardiovascular Surgeon, Dr. Denton Cooley. While in Houston, he also worked as a Dispatcher for Herman Hospital's famous Life Flight services. Bill graduated and taught on staff as a Heart-Lung Pump Technician (Perfusionist), in Open Heart surgery at THI.
Mr. Vivian founded "Western Extracorporeal Services & Technologies", an independent Perfusion contracting corporation, in 1982, and operated at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, Utah, until his desired relocation to La Jolla in 1993. During this transition, Bill was employed by Terumo Medical Corporation, of Somerset, New Jersey, as a Clinical Specialist for their heart-lung disposables equipment. Once settled in La Jolla, he continued to work as an independent Perfusion contractor, both in services and disposable sales. Bill is still a consultant for several Medical companies today.
Bill has also dabbled in the alternative medical scene here in San Diego. He consulted with American Biologics of Chula Vista, under the direction of Dr. Robert Bradford, as an independent Perfusion Research Associate from 1998 through 2003, both in Tijuana, Mexico and Shanghi, China.
Mr. Vivian began his Real Estate endeavors in 1999, by buying condominiums that were in dire need of remodeling and flipping them for a profit in zip codes 92103, 92104, and 92116. After a few years, he joined Re/Max Associates in La Jolla as a sales associate, followed by Prudential California Realty in Mission Hills. In 2003, he had founded Calwest Homes, LLC, an innovative remodeling business. He is already scouting out his next big move, never being complacent. He now owns his own Real Estate Brokerage, "Broker Bill's Realty, Inc." in North Park. He's currently on the Board of Directors for the North Park Historical Society, and an Executive Member of the "Save our Heritage Organization". Bill has purchased a home in the Italian town of Agropoli (2008) just south of the Amalfi Coast. He is begining his Italian studies, and hopes to be involved as a Real Estate Broker Consultant to a UK corporation for sales in Italy.
